What kinds of materials can be digitized?
Almost anything can be digitized. Penn State Libraries has experience digitizing books, journals, photographs, engravings, paintings, maps, newspapers, microfilm, slides (35mm and glass lantern slides), other works of art, audio recordings, motion pictures/video, oversized materials, and 3-dimensional objects. Creativity is highly encouraged! Examples of the projects that the Libraries has completed can be found at our Digitized Collections page.
