What kinds of Intern placements are there, and where?
When Interns try out a possible career path by taking English 195C or 410C, their classroom is in the workplace. Interns meet on campus only a few times a semester (see Procedures for more). Interns get careful supervision by an Internship Mentor in the job setting and by the Faculty Internship Coordinator in the English Department. Interns earn 3 units of upper division credit, if enrolled in 195C, or 3 untis of graduate credit, if enrolled in 410C, for 150 hours of work. A general average comes to 10 hrs per week, for 15 weeks. Actual times and schedules, however, are arranged and tracked by each Intern and Internship Mentor.
