What Kinds of Fruits do Leopard Geokos Eat?
Pianoman…they do eat fruit. They are not strict carnivores. Some people use baby food such as peach, apricot, mango and papaya. These are all good foods to eat and they add hydration to the diet, as well. Switch up fresh fruit/veggies (along with the live food) and put them in so the gecko gets a better assortment of nutrients (example: carrots = vit A, oranges = vit C, apples = fiber). Keep in mind that bugs ARE the majority of any leo diet, but offering fruit and a few greens will complete a good diet. Use mashed banana in very small amounts. The high phosporous content can rob it’s body of iodine. You can also feed this stuff to the crix. It’s gutloading with fresh food and adding some oatmeal can help round out the crix diet before feeding them to your sister’s leo. Have fun with it…they’re very personable little beasties!
