What kinds of doctors are using the e-prescribing systems?
Dr. Fischer: Doctors who wrote electronic prescriptions happened to be slightly younger and more likely to be female than those who did not. This program mostly targeted primary care providers, so internists, pediatricians, and family practice physicians made up nearly three-quarters of those who used e-prescribing.
