What kinds of customizable waves can I create with my VorTech pump?
The VorTech is extremely versatile. Not only do our operating modes simulate what will happen in the reef, but they are optimized for the conditions of the home aquarium. There are multiple different waves you can create with your VorTech pump by using short and long pulse mode and one or multiple pumps in sync or anti-sync with one another. There are two different random modes which will randomly change the speed of your pump over time. These various modes can be used to create gyre flow, resonant standing waves, or various chaotic laminar or turbulent flow conditions to closely simulate the actual reef environment.
