What “kinds” of Christians does The Voice of the Martyrs provide assistance to?
Since our mission’s founding, VOM has received emails and telephone calls asking why we mention Roman Catholics in our publications. This question is often asked with the best of intentions, as some have expressed concerns that we might be straying from the vision of our founder, Richard Wurmbrand. Some are concerned when they notice that we do not typically emphasize the denominational background of those we work with. Some believe that VOM should not provide aid or raise a voice on behalf of Christians of certain denominations, while others suspect that we discriminate against other denominations. In 1999, The Voice of the Martyrs adopted a set of core values that reflect many of the principles and practices that the mission had been following since its founding.
