What kinds of careers do Criminal Justice majors pursue?
Criminal Justice education at BC includes classes that will guide students toward careers in law enforcement and policing, the courts and the law, and state, local, and private corrections. After completing their Criminal Justice classes, many students follow-up with participation in separately administered specialized training courses offered by the Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.), the California Department of Corrections (CDC), and Standards for Training in Corrections (STC). Students are urged to consult with the Criminal Justice faculty for additional information concerning the proper channels for pursuing job-specific training.
