What kinds of careers are available to students in the Biology Program?
There are many opportunities for students of science in addition to the professional careers in medicine, even with just a four-year degree: laboratory work, research technician, public health, environmental testing labs, and teaching. Many students will discover the specific area in science they want during their four years here—which can prepare them for graduate school. Others can leave here and at least have a variety of possible paths in terms of jobs while they are still unsure of their exact calling. Our curriculum, which stresses experiential learning, is the means by which students can more easily make this decision. How do you encourage students through the challenging curriculum?
