What kinds of activities take place in the residence halls?
A variety of social and educational activities are planned for each residence hall. Educational programs are offered in the areas of spiritual, physical, intellectual, cultural and emotional areas. Examples of topics that might be covered include relationship issues, sexuality, alcohol use and abuse, acquaintance rape, religion, diversity issues and other topics of interest and importance to college students. Social and community development programs have included athletic events and intramural competition, ice cream socials, holiday celebrations, crafts, scavenger hunts and community service projects. The Resident Committee, a student governance organization, also plans programs for students. Residents are encouraged to become involved in creating and presenting programs of their own.
