What kinds of activities can I participate in as a Red Cross Club member?
Red Cross Club members participate in a variety of activities in all departments at American Red Cross in Greater New York (ARC/GNY). Activities include, being trained as a lifesaving skills Instructor Aide and eventually becoming a certified lifesaving skills instructor at age 16, being trained to teach the Prepare NY course and vital disaster preparedness programs to children, providing New Yorkers with information about how to be prepared in case of emergencies or disasters, assisting at local emergencies and disasters, helping with our annual fundraising events, recruiting and training new club members and providing administrative support to all departments of ARC/GNY.
