What kinda of clothes should you wear to go snowboarding?
You definitely need your outermost layer to be waterproof especially if it’s your first time up! Snowboarding takes a few days to get the hang of and until you get to that point you will spend some quality time on the snow. There are three layer types that you want to wear. Inner layer – long underwear that is long sleeved and to your ankles. Middle layer – this is for warmth, over your long johns. Fleece is ideal for this layer, or wool. You could wear a sweatshirt but it’s not the best thing. Depending how cold it is I’ll wear a long sleeved shirt and a fleece jacket or just one or the other. Outer layer – waterproof jacket and pants. If you don’t own anything suitable some mountains rent them. Avoid wearing cotton whenever possible because when it gets wet it is heavy and doesn’t keep you warm at all. Throw on a hat and gloves and you should be ready to go!!
