Patrol officers work three 12½-hour shifts per week, with one additional 12½-hour shift per month. Officers working in a special assignments work four 10-hour shifts per week. Officer’s may be called in to work at any time for an emergency, and may be subpoenaed to court for cases they are involved in. Non-sworn personnel typically work four 10-hour shifts per week. Additional work schedules include the 12½-hour shifts, as well as part time shifts.
