VA has numerous opportunities for acquisition professionals. As a VA acquisition team member, one might procure medical supplies for VA hospitals, purchase memorials to honor deceased veterans, or procure sophisticated IT systems to manage benefits received by veterans and their families. In FY 2008, VA acquired almost $15 billion in goods and services, equating to about one-third of the agency’s discretionary funding.
