What kind of weather can I expect in Scotland in April?
I’ve lived in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness. In each of these places we have had BBQs in April, but also in each of these have been frozen and soaked in April in other years. Best you can say is that it is unlikely to get as far down as 0, but equally unlikely to reach 20. Chances are you will get at least a few days of rain, perhaps even most of them, same with wind. Bring a lighter jacket and a wet weather one too. As for clothes layers are the answer. Brolly’s are pretty much useless in the highlands if the wind picks up.
