What kind of treatment is there for skin cancer?
It depends on the type of skin cancer. Carcinomas are usually removed in a doctor’s office by cutting that little section of skin out. Melanomas are altogether different. My brother had a malignant melanoma that only looked like a dark freckle on the surface of the skin but had sent tendrils deep into his thigh. We were concerned that he might have to have his leg amputated, but instead he had surgery to remove a good chunk of his quadriceps.
