Recommended for any sore throat: gargling with warm salt water (1 teaspoon per 8 ounces of water) every 3-4 hours; sucking on hard candy or lozenges; drinking plenty of fluids; taking Tylenol or Ibuprofen as advised by the label instructions; and getting some extra rest.
