A. Environmental support and training are available through the pork industry and related agricultural associations, university extension services and programs sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. All of these resources provide pork producers with the latest research and information available on methods to improve environmental efforts. In addition, producers can take advantage of a wide range of information from sources through the world-wide web. By taking advantage of developments in information technology, producers can access results of research conducted in Europe, Asia, and North America. Together, all of these information sources allow individual producers to research, plan, and implement a broad spectrum of initiatives to enhance their specific environmental efforts.
