What kind of training do Naturopathic physicians have?

0

All licensed Naturopathic Doctors (please see the CNA website at www.naturopathicassoc.ca for more information or for an ND in your area) have completed at least three years in a university program and have graduated from a four-year program at a recognized Naturopathic college. Including training in basic medical sciences and in alternative healing methods, their education includes a year of clinical training in which they care for patients under a licensed ND. Licensing also requires the completion of rigorous board exams both written and oral to maintain the highest standard of licensed practitioners. Even after receiving their licenses, ND’s must achieve a certain number of continuing education credits each year to ensure their body of knowledge remains current in the face of new developments in medicine.
