What Kind Of Traditional Dishes Do Italians Eat For Breakfast?
Italians aren’t really big breakfast eaters. They don’t eat eggs, sausages, pancakes, etc. like Americans, English, Germans, etc. do. They usually have a cup of coffee (espresso) or a cappuccino with maybe a sweet croissant or a slice of bread with butter and jam. Hotels in Italy will serve ham, sausages, eggs, cereal, etc. but it’s usually to cater to the foreign guests. Italians, generally speaking, can’t understand how someone can eat eggs and bacon at 7 in the morning. I live in Italy and work in the hotel business. P.S. Egg dishes such as frittata are usually eaten at lunch or dinner, never for breakfast.
