What kind of testing has KPI technology undergone?
• KPI igniters have been tested within both flare stack and high-heat burner environments. While such testing has been with unregulated or pre-mixed methane and propane gases, Opportunities to test under “dirty gas” combustion environments by Scintilla have been limited. However, with the assistance of many companies who have elected to demo KPI technology before direct adoption, Scintilla has been fortunate to gather additional data regarding regarding industry-based KPI performance. To date, KPI systems have performed equally well in the field for field testers as for Scintilla. Ignition testing is always an on-going activity as KPI technology finds new Opportunities to provide solution where none existed before.
