What kind of technical education is available at WSU?
WSU offers certificate programs in computer networking (with emphases in either Novell or Microsoft), computer-numerically controlled (CNC) machining and automotive-emissions testing. Many of the classes required for these programs also count toward an associate degree. We also have associate-degree programs available in: applied technology; automotive service technology; computer science; construction management technology; design graphics; electronics, manufacturing, and mechanical engineering technology; interior design; office technologies; and sales and merchandising. All of these can lead into a four-year degree with little or no loss of credit. In many of these programs, students can receive credit for courses they took in high school or at an ATC, as well as for related job experience. We also award cooperative-education credit to people already working in the field in which they wish to pursue a degree. What about job openings? The opportunities for technically trained people
