What kind of support is the government providing to the entrepreneurship development of the North East?
Mani Shankar Aiyar: The levels of literacy in the North East are above the national average. Levels of education in the North East are below the national average. The fundamental of reading and writing, the North East is ahead. But in terms secondary school education, college education, vocational education…. there is still a great deal that needs to be done. Indeed, I will give the regard to primary education, there is lot more that needs to be done. Fortunately, the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan are doing enough to tackle the problems of primary and secondary education. However, the government of North East needs to respond to every activity. We require a strong commitment for development from the North East states.
