Customers wanting to run OpenSolaris as their OS of choice have options for support from Sun with OpenSolaris Subscriptions. • • For $324/year OpenSolaris Essentials Subscriptions have a 48-hour email response and provides the opportunity to report bugs and receive Package Updates when available. • • Starting at $1080 per socket , Open Solaris Production Subscriptions provide 24×7 phone support; the opportunity to report bugs, the ability to receive Package Updates when available, and full escalation support. New OpenSolaris OS Package Updates are released approximately every 6 months. OpenSolaris Subscriptions entitle Customers during the term of the Customer’s Subscription contract to receive support on their current version of OpenSolaris, as well as receive individual Package Updates and OpenSolaris OS Updates when made commercially available by Sun.
