What kind of students frequent the MLC?
It depends, some students only go to the MLC when they have a question because they are generally able to keep up with their homework and understanding. Some students go very regularly just to have a quiet place during the day to do their math homework. The security of having a teacher there helps in case of last minute questions. Some students like going to the MLC because they like being able to “talk-out” their ideas about problems, and to clarify questions from class. This is a great use of the MLC and gives a great opportunity for students to discuss Mathematics. So the MLC is used for many different purposes.
