Career Step provides many services to students and graduates. Complete student and technical support is provided via email, toll-free phone, or fax. Students have access to experienced medical transcriptionists and medical coders and billing specialists who can answer questions and help focus their learning. There is also a student forum and chat room where student can chat with other students, graduates, and industry experts. Support services also continue to be available after graduation.
Career Step student support is tailored specifically to each program, and Student Support Advisors include professional medical transcriptionists and editors (18 years of combined experience), medical coding and billing specialists (20 years of combined experience), and a pharmacy technician (9 years of experience). These advisors are available by phone or email and also answer questions through the Career Step online forums and moderated chats. Students receive full access to all student support services for the duration of their enrollment. After graduation, students transfer to Graduate Support for guidance throughout their job search.

Career Step students have access to: Student Support Advisors who have professional experience in the industry and are uniquely qualified to answer questions about both the curriculum and the industry. They provide timely answers to questions about the program material and offer a number of personal consultations throughout the training to help students master important concepts. Technical Support Advisors who are knowledgeable, experienced, and available six days a week to help students work through any technical or computer issues encountered within the training program. Graduate Support Advisors who help students transition to the workforce after graduation. Graduate Advisors help students prepare the best resumes, develop solid interview skills, and learn valuable job search techniques.
