What kind of student is right for Pathway at UCLA Extension?
Candidates are typically between 18 and 25 years old, have completed a high school program, and possess a well-rounded background in education, life-skills training, and work or volunteer experience. Other qualities we seek include strong social and adaptive skills, the ability to successfully navigate the university environment following orientation, enthusiasm for learning and the college experience, a desire to live independent of their family, and a family that supports that desire. To assure a good match, Pathway participants are selected through an application and interview process.
