What kind of stapler do coin dealers or numismatists use to staple 2×2 cardboard holders?

Any stapler will do but the best kind is a flat stapler. The staples lay flat without any ridges on the front or back. This is best for 3 ring binder pages as well as box storage for 2X2’s. The staples are flat against the cardboard so it does not mark up the pages or tear other holders that are for coins larger than the one in front. They have them at Staples as well as other stores of that type. The flat stapler looks just like a regular one but keeps the staple flat against the cardboard, it is made to do that. It was made for reports so that when a pile of them are together the staple end is not much higher than the rest of the papers. They are not expensive but by now maybe $10 or more. Dealers really don’t care for the coins are usually not around long. that is one reason they use flips with PVC in them, they are easy to use and stay together better with handling than the hard safety one. Coins should be removed from PVC soft flips as soon as possible.
