ProStores includes a shared SSL for merchants who do not wish to purchase their own. This is a 128-bit encryption shared SSL certificate provided by the Certificate Authority Thawte (a VeriSign company). A ProStores merchant does have the option to upgrade to a dedicated SSL certificate. Details for purchasing a dedicated SSL certificate are available in the “Website Management” area of the ProStores Control Panel.
