What kind of sporting events will take place at the new Lansdowne?
If approved, the revitalization plan will renovate the existing arena building, home of the Ottawa 67’s. The proposed stadium is being designed to be fan-friendly for Canadian professional football, soccer and local community use. The facilities will accommodate local sports clubs and associations as well as professional sports franchises. Seating will be expandable in the end zones, which means it could be configured to surround the field, providing sufficient seating for large sporting events and concerts, like a Grey Cup, FIFA tournament or a Rolling Stones concert.
