What kind of specifications are included in the InDesign® templates?
Each template is intended to help you print your book exactly how you design it. The templates have guidelines that show you where the trim lines and critical content/safety boundaries are, so you know where you should place text and images in your book design to avoid losing any content. They also include cover lines and bleed lines so you know how far to extend images so they bleed off the edges of your book covers, guidelines for the spine, and fold lines and fold over allowances on the dust jacket flaps. Our templates use several standard bookmaking terms to guide your design, and we have specific definitions for each aspect of your book that explain what you’ll get from Blurb’s PDF to Book workflow.
