What kind of special assignments does the Marion Police Department offer for police officers?
Within the patrol and investigations divisions there are many specialty assignments including Narcotics Task Force, Bicycle Patrol, Hostage Negotiators, two K9 units, D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse and Resistance Education), S.R.O. (School Resource Officer), Field Training Program, Crime Scene Investigators as well as the Bomb and Arson Investigators and the H.E.A.T. (High Risk Entry and Arrest Team).
