Blakhole Mail Encryption doesn’t require any additional software or hardware. Administration requires a web browser and internet connection; end users need to use an S/MIME-compatible email client (view a list of compatible email clients), and are only required to download a decryption certificate the first time that they send or receive encrypted mail.
