What kind of shades and degrees of translucency are available?
Artemis is available in an assortment comprising 30 different materials to cover a wide range of anatomical conditions and variations. They are divided into Dentin, Enamel and Effect materials, which are characterized by different optical properties. The opaque Dentin shades are primarily designed for reconstructing dentin areas and mamelons. Darker shades such as A5/A6 are gaining in importance for repairing eroded tooth necks in older patients. The transparent Enamel shades are especially designed for enamel areas. The shade range extends to the ultra-bright Bleach shades that are used in bleached teeth for example. The Enamel and Dentin shades are available in a wide range of shades. Therefore, a suitable combination of materials is available for every clinical situation. The Effect materials enhance the creative scope of Artemis, allowing users to fabricate highly individualized restorations (see next question “What are Effect materials used for?”).
