Sanctions and services for juvenile delinquents can include waiver to adult court, commitment to the Indiana Department of Correction, commitment to a secure detention facility, long-term residential placement at certain secure or non-secure facilities, short-term residential placement at certain secure or non-secure facilities, group home placement, foster care placement, relative placement, emergency shelter care placement, house arrest (GPS tracking, electronic monitoring, and non-electronic systems), treatment for specific issues such as substance abuse or anger management or sexually inappropriate behavior, individual therapy, family therapy, suspension or restriction of a driver’s license, community service, payment of restitution, educational services, independent living skills, etc. The Probation Department must recommend and the Juvenile Judge must order care, treatment, rehabilitation or placement consistent with the safety and best interest of the child and community that is
