What kind of research is being done at the William James Research Center for Consciousness Studies?
The William James Research Center for Consciousness Studies, located on the ITP campus, emphasizes research in the following areas: physical and psychological well being and growth; psychospiritual transformation and consciousness studies; and exceptional human experiences, both psychic and mystical. The aim of the Center is to foster and support studies that have clear implications for the field of transpersonal psychology. Researchers at the Center are encouraged to develop, initiate and evaluate practical applications of the principles emerging from their work (for example, in education, business, wellness, counseling, therapy, and spiritual guidance).
