What kind of receipts are they looking for with the mail-in rebates?

They seem focussed more on the date of the receipt than anything else. So be sure the date is current (within the rebate period and within 30 days of when you mail in the receipt). Although they say they want original receipts they will accept photocopies if you write on the photocopy ‘original bill kept for tax (or warranty) purposes’. For home utilities – things like electricity, gas, water, cable, telephone, etc. For home maintenance – any bill from a store related to maintenance – e.g. Home Depot, CTC, the bill from the garden nursery for those spring plants or fall fertilizer. For Outdoor activities – any bill from a golf course, driving range, baseball game, someone sent in a bill for a lawnmower for this one.
