What kind of programs does SMU offer?
SMU encourages all students to have significant international experiences during their undergraduate years. SMU offers study abroad, international internships, service and volunteer opportunities as part of its suite of education abroad opportunities. SMU Abroad collaborates with other campus offices in preparing students for other international programs such as research opportunities, Human Rights Abroad and Outdoor Adventures. Programs are offered year round. Choices include academic year, semester or short-term study or work through university partners, exchange programs and study abroad providers at sister universities and well-established program sites. The SMU Abroad team hopes that you will be able to find an SMU program that best matches your academic and personal goals. You may choose to participate in a non-SMU program abroad.
