The VP-2 works with any Hewlett Packard compatible printer conforming to HPs PCL3 or PCL5 printer control language. It does not work with printers designed exclusively for the Microsofts Windows operating system (i.e. the DeskJet 820Cse and 820Cxi, the DeskJet 722C, or any other HP printer using Printing Performance Architecture instead of PCL). The printer you choose will have an impact on how fast the VP-2 produces a screen print. For example, the HP DeskJet 895Cse (our Sam’s Club sells these for under $400) is estimated to produce a printout in about 1 min. 20 sec. The heavy-duty HP DeskJet 1600C (discontinued) is a more industrial-grade printer that produces a printout in 1 min. 15 sec. The VP-2 also works with HPs color LaserJet 4500, HPs black and white LaserJet series, and selected printers from other manufacturers (such as Lexmark) that support HPs PCL3 or PCL5 printer control language. The VP-2 now also supports Postscript, and works well with color printers from Tektronix.
