What kind of personal direction is available for the women staying at House of Hope?
We focus on three main areas of development; parenting, education and employment. Our Life Skills Coordinator, Case Worker and Support Staff work on a personalized program for each resident. This plan is devised to help the women with day-to-day skills such as; developing routines, creating quick nutritious meals, personal hygiene and housekeeping in addition to completing their secondary education and finding employment. Our program assists residents with interpersonal relationships, accountability and follow-through. Other community agencies are brought in to provide residents with additional classes, such as Rent Smart, Credit When Credit Is Due (a financial literacy course), parenting classes, mental health education, etc.
