What kind of permanent effects result from smoking marijuana?
The most common answer you’ll get is that it can cause lung cancer. But the amount of marijuana smoked by the average user is FAR lower than the average cigarettes smoker. So thats not usually a big concern. And even if it was smokers often use a vaporizer which is a way of smoking without actually smoking it and getting the carcinogens. Of course there is also cooking the thc out and putting it into food products if lung cancer was the only concern. As far as permanent mental effects I don’t think any scientist can agree that there really is a completely permanent effect. I’ve read that it can cause a very slight impairment for a few months after regular use but even that goes away. Even that slight impairment probably wouldn’t be noticed unless it was really studied for. Any well educated person on the subject would agree though that alcohol is far more damaging in all aspects.
