What kind of people live in the desert?
There are various peoples that live in desert climates. 1) Oasis Dwellers – live on the oasis, have water, grow some crops, usually sell crops at a market 2) Nomads – travellers in the desert – example Tuareg in the Sahara, three types (hunter/gatherers, pastoralists – have sheep/goats), and traders) 3) peoples that for health reasons need a warm, dry climate such as in Utah, parts of Nevada etc cities such as Las Vegas, Reno and Salt Lake City 4) Native peoples – the Paiute (Numa) people – live in and around The Great Basin 5) Canadian or other countrys Snowbirds – leaving the cold humid Canadian winters for the warm dry south.
