What kind of people died in the attack on Pearl Harbor?

0

About 2000 people were killed in the attack, the great majority were US Navy sailors who died when their ships were bombed or torpedoed. Almost half of the total were the crew of the USS Arizona killed when their ship blew up during the attack. Much of the rest were on other ships sunk or capsized. A somewhat smaller number of US Army and Army Air Corps personnel were killed when shore installations were bombed or strafed and a few civillians, mostly base workers but a few others were killed by stray shots or shrapnel. A scant handful of Japanese Navy pilots and the crews of a few 2-man miniature subs were killed during the attack, but not many. I don’t have exact numbers to hand, but I am pretty sure the above conveys the gist of it. There have been hundreds of books and articles written about the attack which can give exact numbers, and you can probably easily find any number of websites that give exact information about the attack.
