What kind of PC/hardware is needed for multimedia playback?
Pentium systems are preferred for running multimedia applications (particularly video-intensive applications) since they offer fast processors and typically have sufficient memory to run content rich applications. However, for Windows, the minimum hardware configuration for running multimedia is a 486DX, 33MHz with 8MB RAM and 2X CD-ROM.
