What kind of paint will adhere on the common plastic coated paper?
Basically, once you have picked the plastic material for what you are going to do the rest is pretty easy. If you have several different types of plastic then you may have several different types of paint you will need. So your problem is not unsolvable. Having been a manufacturing engineer for 30 years I can say your best choice is to contact a paint manufacturer. Sherwin Williams is a good choice. They have a book if you can get a copy, that explains all the different materials and what you need and how to paint them. There are the “basics” in painting but it can’t cover everything any more. There are just too many different types of plastics now days and each type requires a different surface preparation. Some paints need a thermal cure which would melt the plastic, or a two part curing system which would take 3 days to cure, or even a one part which dries quickly but may not stick well over time. And then you’ll also need a primer layer first. And not all paints work well with the
