What kind of overhead does HQ for AWS impose?
The HQ Agent is designed to impose limited overhead on the platforms it manages. Although it’s not typically necessary, you can further reduce the size of the HQ Agent. As shipped, the HQ Agent is ready to monitor over 75 different products and technologies. Based on the technologies you actually need to manage, you can trim the HQ Agent footprint to the bare minimum by removing components you don’t need. It’s possible reduce the agent bundle to as small as 6.3MB, with a memory footprint of 19.3MB. Hyperic services can resize the agent to meet your needs, or you can do it yourself.
