What kind of oil can i use in my JUKI sewing machine?

Use sewing machine oil (you can pick up a tube of “Singer” brand sewing machine oil in just about any fabric store — brand doesn’t matter, but the type of oil does. Also, sewing machine oil doesn’t stain most fabrics (though you should mop up any excess before sewing). DO NOT USE (yes, I’m shouting) WD-40 (it’s really a solvent) or 3-in-1 or similar household oils. I’ve seen machines so gummed up with old 3-in-1 oil that the machine was basically frozen. Much patient application of solvent to get the gummed up oil out so it could be lubricated properly. If that Juki you have is an industrial, with a wicking system, you can get gallons of sewing machine oil from the distributor, or from places like South Star — White Lily is a common brand.
