New business opportunities exist for Exhibition Park. However, interviews with the organizers of several events that could be attracted show clearly: • They are interested to hold events in Lethbridge • They know of Exhibition Park • They will not hold their events in Lethbridge because the facilities do not match their requirements: • The facilities are inadequate from the perspective of condition and on-site services (power, lighting, meeting rooms, etc.) • The facilities are too small. Event organizers, including trade show, major gatherings, agricultural events, and meetings and convention organizers, are very selective when they choose a destination for their event. The success of the event in the eyes of their clients and the financial returns they gain from the event are significantly dictated by the facilities available in the community they choose.
