yeah I was gonna say folk rock as its not very popular over here, although maybe a few followers. Country and western I have heard is massive in some parts of the USA and originated there, i dont think its popular in India or the middle east or anywhere else u care to mention but there are a few, very small, number of fans here. ;] OMG to the person who is 2 spaces above me, punk was started by the Sex Pistols and they were british. I know about the ramones but they didnt really start punk as it is commonly defined and they werent anywhere near as xtreme as the sex pistols, the sex pistols had an ideology about nihilism and they are the ones who started the punk ideology. The ramones had no ideoloy and werent political, although they did have better tunes in my opinion!
