What kind of money do they use on Christmas Island?
The official currency is the Australian dollar but they gladly accept US dollars as well. There are a couple of very basic stores in London, a few snacks is probably all you be able to buy while on the island. You can tip your guide in US dollars. There are no ATM’s and the bank may or may not be open, so bring cash. No Credit cards are accepted on the island.
