What kind of man is Odysseus?
if you want to really know the truth Odysseus was the perfect representation of man. His great wisdom was counter balanced by his own arrogance in his genius. To understand what i am saying, remember Odysseus was outwitted by Palamedes when he came to recruit Osysseus for the war. (Palamedes placed Odyssesus’ son in front of a plow to see if Odysseus was crazy or faking). Odysseus kept this grudge and finally caused Palamedes’ death when he got the opportunity. He had outwitted a rival, but had killed a valuable ally for his own selfish reasons. Another example is when he outfoxed Ajax the Great for Achilles armour. The armour was to go to the bravest warrior among the Greeks. Ajax was by far a better fighter. However, Odysseus persuaded Agammemnon to let Trojan prisoners make the decision.
